Clubs and classes are offered on Thursday mornings at Farmhouse Pantry in Saranac, NY.
Farmhouse Pantry is closed to the public during clubs and classes, but the coffee shop will be open for parents. However, no one should feel obligated to purchase anything.
While there is limited space for parents to hang out during class time, and free wifi is available, please be mindful of the classes taking place.
Participants sign up at the beginning of the semester (September and January), committing to the full semester and paying any applicable fees.
Fall Semester 2016 (September 22nd and ends November 17th) options:
Intro to Photography Workshop ~ Designed for those 10yrs old and up interested in learning the basics of capturing images. Topics will include exposure, using manual controls (and what the other controls are for!), aperture, lighting, choosing your subject, etc. Depending on interest and skill set of the group, some basic editing/ “digital darkroom” skills may be touched upon.
Participants should all have access to a digital camera to bring with them and use throughout the week.

Lego Club ~ Meeting the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, children need to bring a shoe box filled halfway with legos. All ages welcome.
Club runs from 10:10am- 11:10am

Arts and Crafts ~ Meeting the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of the month, we will explore and create art & crafts using a variety of art media. Please provide your child with an old t-shirt or long sleeve shirt that they can be used to protect their clothing.
Class runs from 10:10am-11:10am

Book Club ~ Two books will be explored this semester, reading along at the same pace as friends during the week, and discussing what we’ve read during our club meetings. This club is open to all, at parent’s discretion. Both books are said to be for ~8-14 year olds. The first book we’ll enjoy is Book of Three by Lloyd Alexander, the second book will be Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine

Some classes have a minimum number of students needed in order to run. All participants will receive a confirmation email by September 17th notifying them that the class/club/workshop is running.
Please bring any necessary fees to your first class.
