Local homeschooling mom, and former professional ballerina, Victoria Ainsworth offers classical ballet classes. The classes are on Tuesdays, at the North Country Cultural Center for the Arts on Brinkerhoff St. Beginner & Intermediate classes meet at 1:30 & 3:00. Victoria also offers classes later on Tuesdays, which are open to public & homeschool students alike. "Victoria has the expertise and experience to not only demonstrate correctly but to analyze and alter the class exercises to best benefit the immediate needs of the students at the precise moment- something that teaching from a pre-fabricated class manual cannot achieve.
She studied with great teachers and prestigious ballet schools- Les Grandes Ballets in her early teenage years followed by American Ballet Theater, Joffrey and privately with such prominent artists as George Chaffee, Igor Schwetzoff. Nicholas Orloff , Nina Stroganova, Maya Piletskaya, Melissa Hayden and more.
Victoria performed classical ballet in Stuttgart, Havana, Frankfurt, New York, Koln, Vienna, Bonn, Montreal ect. Victoria was the personal protegee of Kaleria Fedicheva."
The North Country Homeschooling group seeks to provide homeschooling support and activities to those living in the Northern NY counties of Clinton, Essex, and Franklin. Activity information is available via email, blog, and Facebook. Homeschooling support is provided though Facebook and a variety of monthly support groups. The North Country Homeschooling Group is open to anyone who homeschools or who is thinking of homeschooling. There are no membership fees.
