Fees: $100 per one week camp session

Storming the Stage with Jessica Deeb
Session I or 2; Ages 6-10
Kids will find their very own star power in this terrific theater camp.  The group will explore many aspects of putting on a show including staging, character development, singing, choreography, costume construction, and set design concluding with a 15-20 minute production on the final day of camp.

Camp Rock - Finding Your Voice with Kim WeemsSession I or 2; Ages 8-13Students explore vocal performance of popular music.  The workshop centers around developing each student as a singer and performer and culminates with a 15 minute performance during which all students are featured as soloists.  Learn vocal technique, choreography, works with microphones, stage presence, expression and energy.  The main point si to have fun singing songs you may never get to sing in structured music programs at school.

Away with Clay with Brooke NobleSession I or 2; Ages 8-13 Clay may come from the earth, but the sky's the limit in this fun-filled workshop!  Several techniques for construction will be explored and campers will leave with at least 3 finished projects.  Clay has the incredible ability to transform from a lump of earth to functional vessels, tiles, masks, boxes, sculptures, coil pots and more - there is no limit to the mess of fun kids will have.  After the projects have been fired, we will have a glaze day and students will use an array of bright, beautiful glazes to further enhance their newly created masterpieces.

Comic Book Creators with Vicki CelesteSession I; Ages 7-12Fly high in the sky and leap tall buildings in a single bound!  Learn how to create your own comic characters and develop those characters into a piece of comic art.  Come with an idea for a comic book or create one during th eweek.  This is one super class that will have everyone feeling like a hero.

Youth African Drum & Dance with SomaBeats & Wulaba DrumSession 2; Ages 8-12First stop: Guinea, West Africa!  We will learn the history of the people and celebrate the arts and crafts and rhythms of the dances of the villagers.  Bring a book to share, healthy snack and drink for every class.  Wear colorful clothes for the end-of-the-week show!  Drums will be provided or bring your own drum and percussion equipment.
