The official date of the Homeschool Science Fair is Thursday, May 22 from 2-4 pm in the Cantwell Room (basement) of the Saranac Lake Free Library. This is a non-competitive event. Kids, and even parents, of any age can show off one or more project on any topic, even topics only peripherally related to science. This is all about fun and sharing what we're having fun learning about. If kids don't have an interest in preparing a project, they should still come and visit the displays! Set up 1-2pm, event from 2-4pm.
Please RSVP to Sunita (sunitahalasz@gmail.com) by May 10 (or sooner!!!) with what kind of a presentation you are bringing, and if you have any needs like access to an electrical outlet.
The North Country Homeschooling group seeks to provide homeschooling support and activities to those living in the Northern NY counties of Clinton, Essex, and Franklin. Activity information is available via email, blog, and Facebook. Homeschooling support is provided though Facebook and a variety of monthly support groups. The North Country Homeschooling Group is open to anyone who homeschools or who is thinking of homeschooling. There are no membership fees.
