SUNY CANTON: WOMEN IN ENGINEERING PROGRAM MAY 11

Greetings from SUNY Canton,

SUNY Canton invites girls in grades 7-11 to participate in Women in Engineering 2016, co-sponsored this year by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the Young Women’s Leadership Institute (YWLI). Women in Engineering engages female students in engineering and celebrates the profession.  We are hoping that your students will join in the fun.  We will showcase our engineering facilities through interactive activities and demonstrations facilitated by current students and faculty.  Some of the activities include ATV Diagnostics, Water Tunnel Aerodynamics, Audio Engineering and Production, and learning how to design a nametag on CAD/CAM/CNC machinery.

Find a complete list of activities in the attached brochure as well as a registration form. Please have each student complete the registration form and choose four of her preferred courses. Note: preference for courses will be given on a first come, first served basis.

Women in Engineering will take place on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, from 9 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. The event is free and lunch will also be provided at no cost.  Registrations should reach SUNY Canton no later than May 6, 2016. To RSVP or for more information, please contact Rebecca Blackmon at blackmonr@canton.eduor at 315-386-7686.

Some of your students will receive a direct invitation via email if they have already expressed an interest in SUNY Canton.

We are very excited to host your school and hope you’ll be able to join us on the 11th!

Sincerely,

Dan Miller
