Doug Zobel is planning to start up Spanish lessons for homeschoolers, and wonders if we can gauge interest level from our group. It would be one hour, one day a week. If there were a lot of younger kids also interested (preschool age), then he would consider offering a preschool-oriented class. I know I am totally interested with my two kids (He's a great teacher!). He would hold these lessons in a tutoring room located at St. Bernards school in Saranac Lake. And, by the way, even if you've already started French or some other language with your kids, it won't hurt them at all to add Spanish into the mix! In fact, in Europe kids learn a whole bunch of languages all at one time.

The North Country Homeschooling group seeks to provide homeschooling support and activities to those living in the Northern NY counties of Clinton, Essex, and Franklin. Activity information is available via email, blog, and Facebook. Homeschooling support is provided though Facebook and a variety of monthly support groups. The North Country Homeschooling Group is open to anyone who homeschools or who is thinking of homeschooling. There are no membership fees.
