The Annual Homeschool History Day will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Saranac Village at Will Rogers in Saranac Lake from 9:30 am to about 2:30 pm. The kids will do their presentations (in costume!) on the historical person (or thing) that they chose to research. Because we're at Will Rogers this year, the seniors who live there will be able to attend the kids' presentations and maybe even weigh in on some of the history! Then we'll have our potluck lunch in the downstairs room (where Game Night happens and where there is a kitchen and fridge for our use), and then we will come back up to the Great Room to watch the amazing documentary, "Hotel Hope" about the original Will Roger's Sanitorium. I'll ask the Activities Director if she has some ideas of how we can fit in a scavenger hunt around the building and grounds that has an educational basis! This event is hosted in conjunction by Saranac Village at Will Rogers and Historic Saranac Lake. Please only RSVP if you are certain you can come because this event requires a lot of planning and a specific head count.
