The North Country Homeschooling group seeks to provide homeschooling support and activities to those living in the Northern NY counties of Clinton, Essex, and Franklin. Activity information is available via email, blog, and Facebook. Homeschooling support is provided though Facebook and a variety of monthly support groups. The North Country Homeschooling Group is open to anyone who homeschools or who is thinking of homeschooling. There are no membership fees.
Rail Explorers- Ride the Railroad Field Trip
RailExplorers has offered to give homeschoolers a big discount ($10/person) on Friday, September 30 for their 9am ride from Saranac Lake to Lake Clear (CHECK IN: 8:45am at Saranac Lake Union Depot). Up to 52 people can be on this ride, and if we get more than 52 people, then they will open up the second ride of the day which leaves Lake Clear at 11:30am (CHECK IN: 10:45am at Saranac Lake Union Depot) and goes back to Saranac Lake.
