Three of the most experienced and exciting spoken word poets in the world are leading our twelfth annual High School Writing Retreat.
During this two-day event, students will enjoy poetry performances and learn how to make their writing gorgeous with workshop leaders and poetry legends Mahogany L. Browne, Jive Poetic, and Jon Sands. High school students, classes, and homeschooled students are invited to join for a day of performances, workshops, and general awesomeness.Any student is welcome to join, no experience necessary! This event is free, lunch will be available for purchase on campus. If you or your class can only attend for one day, please plan to join on October 26. Any classes or individuals that are interested in joining should contact the Adirondack Center for Writing at info@adirondackcenterforwriting.org .

The North Country Homeschooling group seeks to provide homeschooling support and activities to those living in the Northern NY counties of Clinton, Essex, and Franklin. Activity information is available via email, blog, and Facebook. Homeschooling support is provided though Facebook and a variety of monthly support groups. The North Country Homeschooling Group is open to anyone who homeschools or who is thinking of homeschooling. There are no membership fees.

Teen Night at the Corn Maze Saturday October 14
Saturday October 14, 2017
Welcome teens to the night corn maze. Come enjoy a bonfire and music. Bring a flashlight and a few bucks for snacks and cider (if you want). 13yrs and up, $7 each. 12 and under $5 and will need an adult. Teens can be dropped off and chaperoned by Kerri Lamarche from 7-9pm.
Free Dictionaries for Homeschool 3rd Graders
The Kiwanis Club offered free paperback dictionaries to all the area 3rd graders each year.
Please email Melissa at stonebeckacademy@gmail.com if you have a 3rd grader who would like a dictionary.
